Election Excitement Growing in Haiti (Charles Henri Baker)

Port au Prince—Excitement is building for Tuesday’s national
elections, according to campaign advisors for presidential
candidate According to Hans Tippenhauer, a Baker campaign
advisor,”We have seen a significant increase in popular support
for our campaign in recent weeks. Our crowds are definitely
larger, and their enthusiasm is very, very encouraging. We
expect a large turnout on Tuesday. That will be good for
Charlito and the people who support him.” Tippenhauer
said, “This afternoon, we saw many people waiting outside the
Provisional Electoral Council offices. They were trying to get
their election cards so they could vote. There is a lot of
excitement among the people of Port au Prince.”
